Synthesis of anatase TiO2 microspheres and their efficient performance in dye-sensitized solar cell

Nanomaterials play important role in performance of dye-sensitized solar cells. In this paper, highly phase pure anatase TiO2 microspheres were synthesized using a low-cost hydrothermal route. Initially, X-ray diffraction studies and Raman spectroscopic analysis carried out, the formation tetragonal structure with was confirmed. The UV–Vis DRS showed excellent reflectance optical band-gap energy 3.29 eV. well-interconnected spherical nanoparticles different sizes examined by Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopic analysis. fabricated cell (DSSC) composed prepared as photoanode exhibited higher power conversion efficiency (PCE) (?) 5.4% compared to commercial P25 PCE 3.6%. Jsc (12.03 mA/cm2) DSSC due efficient dye loading capacity high light-scattering property also observed.
